What system of Martial Arts do you practice?
We train in a soft style of kenpo which has striking, throwing, and joint locks. More specific information about the art can be found here.
Are you affiliated with any organization?
We're members of the World Kenpo Federation based in Detroit, Michigan. The Round Rock group is currently the only WKF club located in Texas.

| Equipment |
Kenpo requires little equipment to get started in. Really, you just need
a uniform (do-gi in Romanized Japanese or simply pronounced and said "gee" with a soft g.
Beginners generally use a lightweight, black colored uniform. Below are links to
some suppliers from which you may buy online. It's better to buy a slightly larger uniform
than one that is too small if you or your child are in between sizes.
Century lightweight uniform
Century is based in Oklahoma City, so shipping to Texas is very fast. This particular uniform is blended from cotton and polyester which makes it easier
to care for, but the fabric can get a little sticky if you work out hard.
Pro Force all cotton lightweight uniform
The Pro Force brand is cut a little roomier than Century. This model is made from 100% cotton which means it will shrink on the initial wash and dry, but all cotton will breathe better and feel cooler.
There are of course a host of other brands and cloth weights to choose from. You are free to buy from whomever you want. The only requirement is that your kenpo uniform
be the crossover 'karate' style and it should be solid black. You also need a white belt, which usually will come with the uniform if it is a beginner's model.
