The Ways of Kenpo

We have learned to be keen and humble.

We have learned to be efficient

We have learned to not to be confident.

We have learned that all things are possible.

We have learned not to overpower but to flow with the aggressor's power.

We have learned that all things are possible in Kenpo and then be aware of the impossible. Then, one is ready to begin his or her long and difficult journey.

The ways of Kenpo are many and these are a few of the foundations from which we all begin our long journey towards our own destiny.

The ways of Kenpo are like a bamboo tree. It bends in many directions and if the branch you have chosen is weak, then it will break when stress is applied. And so it is with Kenpo and you, if you doubt its many ways. Therefore, the way one chooses must be stern and yet flexible. One can be hard and yet soft, one can complicate one's self or choose simplicity.

The ways of Kenpo, like knowledge, is never ending. It is life itself and lives within you as long as one chooses to live, and then it is passed down to another that is worthy.

The ways of Kenpo is like the wind that blows. You can not see it, yet you feel it's power. You can not touch it, nor stop or change its direction because it has already passed. It is like the calm waters that flow from the mountains and then turns into a raging sea when it flows into the ocean.

Kenpo can bring you happiness and joy or sadness and sorrow. It is all these things and then more. It is for one to decide which way to journey.

The way of Kenpo lies just ahead, and one will know when the right time has come. You will feel its powers and when you have reached your destiny, let no one be doubtful no more-forever!
